The River Tay, in Perthshire

  • Scotland’s LONGEST river, where you have the ability to, not only, go for a paddle as long as you want (120 miles) but you can also paddle alongside beautiful mountains! It is also a river well known for its Atlantic Salmon and Freshwater Pearl Mussels!

Wastwater, Cumbria

  • A stunning valley lake located in Wasdale, although only 3 miles long it’s one of England’s deepest lakes at 258 feet! Another well known lake to have beautiful scenic views of mountains, open fields and areas where you can pitch up on and take in those views.

The East

Westcliff Beach

  • An absolutely stunning white sandy beach location, where you are easily able to launch from with your paddle board, whether that be on your own or with young children! As it is such an easy location to launch from, this makes it really easy for beginners to learn how to easily get onto their paddle board without too much hassle.

The South

River Avon, Bath

As Aquaplanet is based in the South, we have to mention that we love to get out on the Bath River from time to time, whether that’s on our lunch break or a weekend off! So watch out, if you see an Aquaplanet board on the river, it may be one of us!

Freshwater Bay, Isle Of White

  • It is slightly off the beaten track, but wait until an abnormally low tide (see tide tables) to walk across the rocky exposed ledge to see the caves and small bay to the western side of Freshwater Bay.

The West

(SOUTH WEST) Penzance, Cornwall

  • With white sandy beaches, beautiful clear (well, nearly) waters, and the occasional dolphin sighting spot! Penzance is honestly a spot for those who are there for the perfect instagram shot!

Mawddach Estuary, Snowdonia

  • When you paddle close to Snowdonia you are overlooked by the peaks of Snowdonia and fringed by forested hillsides. Where the Welsh hill tops meet the ocean edge!

In all these different paddling locations, we would always recommend looking out for these different spots to explore on your board!

  • Caves
  • Islands
  • Sandbanks

If you think we missed a mind-blowing route? Please feel free to add it to the comments and we will check it out, it may even be added if it’s good enough.

As always, we have to remind you to stay safe if you do decide to check out these stunning locations. You can check out how to stay safe on your paddleboard here.
